Westbourne – a charming period village between the South Downs and the sea.
The beautiful village of Westbourne nestles at the foot of the South Downs, on the border between Hampshire and West Sussex. With the beautiful Chichester harbour just a mile to the South, Westbourne ranks as one of the best retirement villages on the South coast.
Nearby towns include Chichester, Emsworth, Havant, Petersfield and Portsmouth. Emsworth station gives access to the local rail network, whilst Havant provides fast trains to London Waterloo. A jumble of attractive period streets provide a church, supermarket with post office, doctors surgery, chemist, some excellent pubs, a range of shops and restaurants and two garages.
The well-known Chichester Festival Theatre is within easy reach of Westbourne, and Emsworth offers sport and leisure facilities, including the very popular sailing club.
